Posting Your First Job Listing
The 5-step job form, why sector comes before everything else, and how it starts building your company's public response-time record.
4 min readOpen Add Job from your dashboard
From your recruiter or agency dashboard, click Add a Job. This is the only way to create a reply-time tracked listing that appears on Listed Jobs. Your company logo is clickable right on this form, so you can fix a missing or outdated one without leaving the flow.
Step 1: Details, sector first
Industry Sector is the very first field, ahead of the job title and description, because the AI step later in the form actually needs it to generate a useful SEO summary. Fill in the title, description, sector, workplace type (remote/hybrid/on-site), job type, and experience level here.
Step 2: Location
City and country auto-match as you type, so listings stay consistent for search and filtering instead of relying on however each recruiter happens to type a place name.
Step 3: Compensation
Add a salary range if you're comfortable sharing it. Salary transparency feeds candidate-facing insights and generally performs better with applicants. Not ready to commit to a number? Leave it as 'To be discussed' rather than guessing; candidates see that label plainly instead of a blank or misleading figure.
Step 4: AI & SEO Insight
An AI pass turns your listed skills into SEO keywords and a short insight summary automatically, using the sector you picked in Step 1. Review and adjust before moving on. This draws from the same shared pool of 3 free AI credits as CV Match Insight and applicant triage, so it's worth knowing it's not unlimited.
Step 5: Publish
Every listing is checked for obvious profanity and suspicious links before it goes live. A flagged listing gets blocked with a clear reason and an alert to your team, not silently rejected; fix the flagged part and resubmit. A clean listing goes live on Listed Jobs immediately, and every application against it is tracked automatically. No separate step needed to 'turn on' tracking.
Agencies: keep a client confidential if you need to
Posting on behalf of a client but not ready to name them publicly? Mark the listing confidential and it shows your agency's own branding everywhere a candidate would normally see the client's name, the job description still describes the real role. The client's identity is only revealed once a candidate actually opens the apply flow.
Does a confidential listing hide the client from a candidate forever?
No. It only masks the client's name and logo up to the point of applying. The moment a candidate opens the apply flow, the real employer is shown, since that's information they need before submitting a CV.
What happens if my listing gets flagged during moderation?
You'll see exactly what tripped it (profanity or a suspicious link, most commonly) instead of a generic rejection. Fix that specific part and resubmit; it doesn't cost you anything and your admin team gets an alert too, so a flagged listing never just quietly disappears.
