Messaging Candidates & Scheduling Interviews

How the in-app chat thread works once a sync is approved, and how to get confirmed interviews onto your calendar automatically.

1

Messaging opens once a sync is approved

Once a candidate approves your sync request, a real chat thread opens between you inside RecruiterLog. Nothing needs to move to email to keep the conversation going.

2

Your inbox is split so nothing gets buried

Conversations sort into Active, Your Turn, and Archived. Your Turn is exactly what it sounds like: threads where the candidate is waiting on you specifically. Archiving mutes a thread you're not actively working without closing it out; declining formally ends it and tells the candidate. Both keep the full message history either way.

3

Propose a time right from the thread

Propose an interview time directly in the message thread. The candidate can confirm it or suggest their own availability back to you, all in the same place as the rest of your conversation.

4

Connect a calendar for automatic confirmation

From your Settings tab, connect a Google or Microsoft calendar. Once connected, any interview confirmed through the chat thread is added to your calendar automatically, no manual entry required. You can disconnect either calendar at any time.

5

Get notified outside the app

Link a Telegram account from your notification settings to get instant pings for new messages there, in addition to email.
