What Is Mutual-Intent Sync?
Why RecruiterLog calls it a 'sync' instead of just 'unmasking' a candidate, and why that word choice matters.

A recruiter requesting sync is them saying 'I'm genuinely interested in this specific person.' A candidate approving it is them saying 'yes, I want to be seen by this recruiter.' Neither side is forced or defaulted into it.
That's the 'mutual intent' part
It's called a sync, not a reveal, because it only happens when both sides actively want it. That's exactly why a Top 20 badge or a sync request means something real, rather than being a mass action sent to everyone in a pipeline.
Declining has no downside
If a candidate declines, nothing bad happens. They stay anonymized to that recruiter and can keep evaluating the opportunity entirely on their own terms, with no notification of the decline sent either way.
