Understanding AI Sync Requests
What it means when a recruiter asks to 'sync' with you, and why declining costs you nothing.

When you apply, the recruiter sees your application in their queue, but not necessarily your full identity right away, especially once they've run AI triage on the listing (more on that in AI Features Explained).
A sync request means real interest
If a recruiter wants to move forward with you specifically, they send a sync request. This isn't automatic or bulk-sent to everyone. It's a deliberate signal that they're genuinely interested in your application.
You decide whether to reveal yourself
You'll get a notification asking you to approve or decline. Approving reveals your identity and CV to that recruiter so they can act on it. Declining keeps you anonymized to them, with zero penalty and no notification sent that you said no.
Watch for your Top 20 badge
If a recruiter runs AI-powered triage on a role you applied to and you land in their ranked Top 20, you'll see that reflected on your dashboard: a genuine, real-time signal that you've caught their attention, not a guess.
