Tracking Applications & Setting Job Alerts
The difference between watching one specific role and subscribing to hear about new ones.
3 min readEvery application is automatically tracked
You don't need to do anything extra: any job you apply to on RecruiterLog appears on your dashboard automatically, with its live stage and response clock.
Track a role you haven't applied to yet
Found a listing you're interested in but not ready to apply? Click Track on the job card to add it to your personal watchlist without submitting anything: useful for keeping an eye on a role while you prepare your application.
Set up Job Alerts for a whole sector
Job Alerts are different. Instead of watching one listing, you subscribe to a sector (e.g. 'Software Engineering' or 'Marketing') and get notified by email or push the moment a new response-verified role in that sector goes live, so you're never scrolling to catch new postings.
Manage both from your dashboard
Tracked roles and your Job Alert subscriptions both live on your candidate dashboard, where you can add or remove either at any time.
Your Applications table is grouped, not just one long list
As you apply to more roles, your dashboard splits them into groups so nothing gets lost: your active applications up top, an 'Awaiting Company Claim' section for applications to companies nobody's claimed yet (nothing there counts against the reply-time clock until they do), and a 'Closed / Expired' section for anything resolved, offered, declined, or auto-expired.
