Verified Recruiter Badges & the Trust Ranking Explained

Two badges that look similar but mean different things, and the real search-ranking boost one of them earns.

There are two different verification badges

A Verified Employer badge is about the company: a sustained Highly Trusted Trust Score over a real sample of tracked applications. A Verified Recruiter badge is about the individual person messaging you: a real government-ID and liveness check, confirmed by Sumsub, a third-party identity verification provider. They're earned completely differently and can appear independently of each other.

2

Why Verified Recruiter exists

Candidates deal with fake-recruiter scams more than ever. A Verified Recruiter badge means that specific person passed a real ID and liveness check, not just a claim they typed into a profile. It shows on their public profile, their company's hiring team, and every job listing they post.

3

How a recruiter gets verified

From your Recruiter Profile settings, start verification, complete a real government-ID and liveness check through Sumsub, and the badge appears automatically once it clears. It costs 1 agent credit, charged only once the check actually clears, never just for submitting.

4

It earns a real search-ranking boost

A currently-employed, Verified Recruiter posting for a Highly Trusted or Reliable employer gets placed in a distinct 'Verified & Trusted' lane in job search results, ranked just behind paid Featured listings and ahead of everyone else. It's a second, earned ranking tier, separate from anything you pay to boost.

5

It doesn't stay attached if you leave

The ranking boost depends on currently being employed at that company. Leave, and both the employment status and the search-ranking benefit update automatically; the ID verification itself stays valid for you personally wherever you work next.

Frequently asked
Does my ID ever get stored by RecruiterLog?

No. Sumsub handles the actual identity check directly; RecruiterLog only ever sees the pass/fail result.

What if my verification doesn't clear?

No credit is charged if a check doesn't clear. You can try again.
